To All OPFFA Locals and Committees:
I would like to take this opportunity to inform you all that I will not be seeking a third term as your president.
This is not a decision that I have made in haste and I do believe that it is in the best interest of the organization.
With the Organizational Review recommendations underway, potential changes coming through the upcoming special convention and business sessions, I feel that now is the time to allow for a new set of hands on the wheel in the president’s position.
It has been a tremendous honour to represent Ontario’s professional firefighters provincially, nationally and internationally. I am grateful to you all for allowing me this opportunity and hope I served the role with the dedication and tenacity I was striving for when I took the position back in 2016. I will have more comments coming into June but the one I can unequivocally say now to you all is a simple thank you and best wishes.
